Follow the steps below to make the most of your new plan option
Important next steps:
If you’re currently enrolled in a Medicare Supplement plan and decide to enroll in one of the IBM-sponsored Group Medicare Advantage plan options, please note that you will need to contact your current carrier to disenroll from that plan once you receive confirmation of your enrollment in the IBM-sponsored Group Medicare Advantage plan and the IBM-sponsored MedicareRx for Groups (PDP) plan. You can find their contact information by checking the back of your member ID card or by viewing your latest statement.
Once your enrollment in a IBM-sponsored Group Medicare Advantage plan is complete, you will receive a welcome materials in the mail within 7–10 business days as well as your UnitedHealthcare UCard, which serves as your medical ID Card for your IBM-sponsored Group Medicare Advantage plan. You will receive a separate ID Card for the IBM-sponsored MedicareRx for Groups (PDP) prescription drug plan. You will no longer need to use your red, white, and blue Medicare card, as UnitedHealthcare will process all claims directly, claims will not go to Medicare first. To help ensure your claims are processed accurately and on time, always present your member ID cards when receiving medical care and when filling prescriptions.
