Postal Service Health Benefit Program

The Postal Service Health Benefits (PSHB) Program is a separate program, administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) which will provide health insurance to eligible Postal Service employees, Postal Service annuitants, and their eligible family members.

As a part of the PSHB Program, all Medicare eligible retirees will are required to have Part D prescription drug coverage. To satisfy this requirement, UnitedHealthcare is offering Postal retirees the choice between our Retiree Advantage plan (which includes Part D prescription drug coverage) or the Choice Plus Primary medical coverage alongside a MedicareRX Part D prescription drug plan. Eligible UnitedHealthcare PSHB plan codes are JY (retirees residing on the East side of the country) and KE (retirees residing on the West side of the of the country).

How do I sign up?

Enroll in a qualifying UnitedHealthcare PSHB Plan

Contact the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to make a plan code change. (If you are already enrolled skip to step two):
