The State of Arkansas offers prescription drug coverage as part of the ARBenefits Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) plan, which is a UnitedHealthcare® Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) plan.

We would like to recognize your years of dedication and service by providing a medical and pharmacy plan that is designed for retirees. The ARBenefits Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) plan is a custom plan designed exclusively for retirees of Arkansas Public Schools. The plan includes additional benefits and services, and combines your medical and prescription drug benefits into one plan. You will need to select ARBenefits Group MAPD PPO Plan on the Arkansas State & Public School Retiree Election Form. You can obtain this form from Employee Benefits Division by visiting transform.ar.gov/employee-benefits/retirees/ or calling 1-877-815-1017. If you do not wish to be enrolled in the ARBenefits Group Medicare Advantage (PPO) plan, ask your former employer or plan sponsor what it means if you decline this coverage.

With this plan you have additional benefits— including access to a free gym membership, enhanced hearing and vision benefits, as well as dental and prescription drug coverage all in one plan. You have the flexibility to see any provider (in-network or out-of-network) at the in-network level of benefits if they participate in Medicare and accept the plan. More than 99.9% of members continue to have access to their chosen providers.
